A SPECIAL THANKS to Beth from SOLDIER'S ANGELs!!! Beth and I spoke today about the song OCEANS BETWEEN US and abut the grea reception it STILL gets from our Troops and their families!! As I told her, our FULL CD should be out around the middle of JUNE and I am SO excited that starting this week-end, I will be in studio wih Greg Young and his wonderful songwriting!!! I am ALSO excited to have back JASON LERMA and HIS AWESOME guitar picking (ROAD KILL), along with some of Jason's fellow band members from CMT artist Aaron Watson. Yall check out Soldier's Angels website, and look for me to come up as a featured artist on their site once the CD hits!! They do some great work for the troops and their families so give them some support!!!
MIA Soldier Keith Maupin	Posted: Apr 6, 2008
It is with a very heavy heart that I have to report that the soldier who's name I wore on my POW/MIA bracelet was Keith Maupin who was reported misisng on 9 APR 04. Keith as it was discovered, was executed by the terrorists that kidnapped him a year later, and his remains are now with his parents in Ohio--- Keith sacrificed the ultimate and was a strong, brave man: and my heart goes out to his parents and so many that loved him. PLEASE remember all of our service members who have fallen and are STILL missing, and their families who continue to search for closure of some sort. I ask that all pray for our service members and those who continue to seek their way home.. Samantha

WOW!! I am SO thrilled with all of the Troops who have been emailing and writing and asking for MORE CDs!! Ya know we love ya and send em out as fast as we can!!! Our CD has NOT been released for sale as of yet!!! I have been informed that some folks have ordered if online so if you have, then the CD has been PIRATED as we have not released it yet. The ONLY way you can purchase songs from our CD is by purchasing them ONE AT A TIME for $0.99 via broadjam or my personal website! IF you have purchased our CD PLEASE let me know which site you purchased it from. These songs are REGISTERED and belong to my songwriter Greg Young and CANNOT be sold without his permission (which has NOT been given to anyone who claims to be selling our CD). Thanks!! Sam

Thanks so much for the folks at ARMAD in Fort Wayne, Indiana and Limo, Ohio for having me out this weekend for Military Appreciation Day! The Fort Wayne Wizards ball gamewas GREAT-- and the guys won that one so CONGRATS to Mike Nutter and his team! Thanks also to the Wizards MLB team for being SO nice and welcoming, and having me sing the National Anthem: that was a wonderful experience and the people pf Fort Wayne are terrific! Thanks to the TROOPS OVERSEAS who were listening in and I'm glad that some o you were able to talk with some of your family and friends from home!!! CALLING ALL TROOPS!!! Email your pic (of yourself our your "crew") and we will put it on our special "Troop Buddies" link!! We love to hear from our troops (deployed or not) and know how you're doing!!! Each month, we will choose the "best" Troop Buddy and send ya an autographed CD, photo, etc.!! What's the criteria to WIN?? OK... 1. Keep it G-rated guys!!! 2. Group photo showing your Motto, "pride", whatever banner ya feel the need to hold up! 3. "extra credit" for those who include a little "story" with their pics.. can either be how the picture came about, a funny (unclassified) humor story, or just something you need to say to us is fine! 4. you CAN submit more than one pic and more than ONCE per month!!! DON'T Forget that MAY is Military Appreciation Month... we should appreciate our Troops and their families EVERYDAY, but this month has long been around!! Please try and do something special to show our folks how grateful we are for our freedom that we enjoy, sometimes without remembering what the cost is for those that have devoted their life to our country. Regardless of your political preference-- our troops VOLUNTARILY fight for our freedom everyday, and we should thank them for that. Thanks to ALL of our Troops and their families for giving so much and getting so little for all they do.. we are PROUD of you and support you all the way!! Sam

I wanted to send a special HELLO to CSM Jerry Craig who is serving in Iraq on his SECOND tour, and his troops with the 720th MP BN from Ft. Hood, Texas! It is because of his unselfish courage and commitment, and the courage of these wonderful MPs,that our missions keep holding strong. I want to personally say how grateful I am to CSM Craig and his troops, for making such a sacrifice, so that we stay safe. WELL am I excited or WHAT!! I'm off to Dallas tomorrow to see Round 1, Game 1 of the Mavericks and then back on Wednesday for Round 1, Game 2!!! We're adding 2 new songs to the CD and these will be complete next week. The CD should be out in full pretty soon, so for all of you that have asked WHEN... it's on the way so keep looking for the CD on the site! Of course there will be more songs written by Greg on the disk, but I also have some submitted by a great lady out of Illinois named Maggie Penn who was gracious enough to let me have a few of her songs! She does a great job writing as well! A special HELLO to the Soldiers Angels folks (thanks for the message!) and I look forward to being a part of your arena!! Keep an ear out as well for a special song written by Greg Young for our Amber Watch Foundation benefit we're working up. It's a beauty about Missing Children, and of course Greg is such an awesome writer, it will make a huge impact on such an important crisis regarding the horror of our country's abducted children. Keep a listen out for some radio spots across the area! Austin, Seattle, and Nashville are a few areas that will have some radio spots playing "Oceans". I want to say a special THANKS to David Crawford from KLAW in Lawton, OK. who was nice enough to contact me about the song: I appreciate that! WOW! I am very thankful and excited about the feedback from the song "Oceans between Us"! I personally think Greg Young wrote an amazing piece so it was easy to have a great song with this one! We have had a number of service members in and around Baghdad ask for the song and a BIG thanks for that! We are in the middle of working on 2 more great songs written by Greg, and hope to have them up on broadjam soon enough! I'm excited about getting my very first CD going! Terry Mashburn at Big Notes Studio has been a great help with getting me in the right direction so I have a lot of good folks helping me out! Sam
